A permit imprint indicia is assigned by the US Postal Service and used as an alternative method of postage payment. The owner of the indicia is allowed to print the indicia on mail pieces and deposit the postage into an account held by the US Postal Service. The owner of the permit or their authorized mail service provider is the only one authorized to deliver mail to the post office using this method of postage payment. Below you will find postal approved artwork for the most common indicias used by Baber. You may download and use these in the design of your artwork that will be mailed by Baber.
Remember:
• Please be sure you have selected the correct indicia for your particular needs. Feel free to contact one of the experts at Baber if your need help deciding which permit to use.
• While there is no charge for the use of our permits when we are processing a mailing, these permits are for the exclusive use on materials processed by Baber, and should not be printed on any materials that will not be processed by us. The US Postal Service will not accept mail prepared using these permits, unless submitted by Baber.
• Materials imprinted with a permit indicia CANNOT be mailed as a single piece without covering the indicia with a postage stamp or metered label at the then-current single-piece First-Class rate. Postage has NOT been prepaid unless a mailing has been processed using discounted mail criteria, regardless of rate class.
